Apple acquired Developer keyboards

Apple quietly acquired

Developer keyboard Dryft - Finalist startups TechCrunch.
A unique feature developed in Dryft keyboard is that it does not need a separate space on the display. It is displayed only when the user touches the screen of the device. In fact, it is invisible.
The fact that the acquisition is indirectly confirmed by several sources. Randy Marsden, CTO Dryft and one of the founders of SwiftKey, pointed out in his profile LinkedIn, he joined Apple in September 2014 as a project manager to develop integrated keyboard. On the request to confirm the fact of the transaction, Apple announced that the company periodically acquires small developers, but usually does not discuss his actions.
In iOS 8 Apple allowed third-party developers to create alternative keyboard for their devices. More and more people are trying to find a replacement for the default input method, but it is a clear leader able to outshine the built-in option does not exist. Perhaps with the acquisition Dryft, Apple will try to return the user back to the standard keyboard - and we are waiting for a whole new experience of interaction with the device.
