Apple has tightened the requirements for the screenshots and icon of the application in the App Store

The rules App Store has long existed

point according to which icons and screenshots of the application should not contain content that goes beyond the age rating of "4+". However, for a long time is right to ignore both developers and moderators App Store until Apple suddenly changed her mind.

This rule is located under the number 3.6 in the manual App Store, there was virtually since the start of the app store, but never worked in full force. Changes have occurred suddenly, and some developers have suddenly started getting rejections applications due to invalid icons and screenshots.

To observe the work rules in action, just go to the App Store and in the new games section select the application Tempo [App Store]. Note the screenshots: weapons hidden. And just as it is hidden in the trailer of the game. Now corresponds to the desired content rating "4+", although unarmed combat and explosions are still present.

A similar requirement from Apple faced by other developers who had to hastily replace inappropriate content on icons and screenshots of applications. Probably the App Store now moderators will enforce the rules, but because the new requirements will soon be confronted all developers to update their applications or launching new ones.
