high sales results. Many analysts believe that this pledge - the long-awaited increase in diagonal display at the new products. This conclusion, in particular, researchers from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. Moreover, in the same context, the market share of Android-smartphone decreased slightly.

Analysts have studied the situation in the smartphone market worldwide, taking as a reference the autumn months of last year. The study data on 12 weeks of sales of the iPhone and other smart phones has shown that in the US market share of Android for the first time for the year decreased, namely, from September 2013th. In Kantar explain the situation so. It was in September 2014 started selling the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Huge smartphones, even more precisely "planshetofony" on Android available to everyone for a long time. So Apple fans had enough of competitors' products favorite brand and even dreaming about the iPhone with a large display (I personally dreamed about this since the first Galaxy Note). Hence the demand for novelty.
Another reason for this strong demand for iPhone 6 - update cycle of products, adopted at Apple. After all, a new version of iOS usually goes along with another model of the phone. And this is what provokes in users desire not only to update the iOS, but try it on a new gadget for the specifics of which she sharpened.

But despite all that is written above, researchers from Kantar noted that the percentage of consumers who switched from Android to iOS, has remained unchanged since 2013. It's all the same 18%, ie 6 iPhone becoming the same old Apple users, or those who buy their first smartphone. People are much less likely to jump from one platform to another.

Overall, the Kantar data suggest that the Android platform still dominates the smartphone market (not surprisingly), although its share in the US declined by 2% year on year for the considered three autumn months - from 50.4% to 48 4%. In turn, the market share of iOS in the US increased by 4.3% and now stands at 47.4%.

If Apple's mobile platform and takes someone's market share, it just does not have Android, and other platforms have. In particular, Windows Phone (its market share fell by 1.6%) and BlackBerry. The market share of "other" platforms as a percentage decreased by a further 0.4% over the period.
No less interesting is the situation in the UK. Google mobile platform out there lost 6.7% of its market share, it decreased from 56.4% in 2013 to 49.7% in the autumn of 2014. But iOS contrary acquired another 12.2% of the market (share of Apple's mobile platform has increased from 30.3% to 42.5%).

Increasing the share of iOS is happening here also due to smaller competitors, namely, the same Windows Phone (whose market share decreased by 3.6% - from 10.6% to 7% over the period). It is important that the European market platform from Microsoft has been more popular than others, so for her latest performance - a good sign. In addition, the reduction in the market Windows Phone happened in previous years, according to Kantar, albeit at a slower pace.

Even in Italy, the largest European market for Windows Phone, there has been a decline. But back in the past, the summer months, the share of Microsoft's mobile operating system here has continued to increase. At the moment, its decline is 3.3%, from 16% to 12.7% in just three months of autumn. While iOS is gaining popularity in Italy, as its market share increased over this period by 6%, from 11% to 17%. Apparently, the Italians decided that more iPhone will become a perfect replacement smartphone on Windows Phone.

If we consider the summary data for the five most economically successful regions in Europe (UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain), we can see that the Android market share has decreased by 3.2% (to 66.8%). But the share of iOS, on the other hand, increased by 6.3% (to 23.8%). The share of Windows Phone is also decreased by 1.5% (up 8.3%).
In the East, the situation is somewhat different. In China, competing platforms Android and iOS are increasing their market share, while Windows Phone is losing customers. In China Android retains a dominant position platform, responsible for 80.4% of smartphone sales - and it's only three months of autumn 2014. IOS market share rose to 18.1%, which is not surprising in light of the Apple co-operation with China Mobile, the main supplier of the iPhone in the country. Chinese mobile operator has implemented for the period studied 63% iOS-smartphones.

Android market share in China is so big thanks to local manufacturers of smartphones, the chief of which, according to analysts from Kantar, of course, Xiaomi. The company sold 30.2% of all sales of Android-devices in the Chinese market at the end of November.

Decline in sales of Android-devices in the European market can be explained by the difficulties that experiencing Samsung. Although Koreans are taking the baton other vendors Android-smartphone. How do I find a Kantar, Motorola has increased its market share thanks to the updated model Moto G and Moto X. In promoting these devices manufacturer focuses on their performance and availability.

In Japan, the situation is developing quite the opposite. In this market, the dominant share of the iOS platform began to decline, a decline of 15.3% (up 53.8%). The situation did not save even newcomers iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. At the same time, the Android market share is growing, it has increased by 12.4% (to 42.4%). In the Land of the Rising Sun popular smartphones small, so that the increase of the screen in the new iPhone does not play into the hands of Apple in the Japanese market.
Finally, Australia. There is Android lost 10.1% of its market, while iOS has increased its share by 9.9%. At the moment, gadgets based on Android and iOS almost equally popular in Australia. Android market share is 45%, while the share of iOS is 44.9%. In turn, the Windows Phone platform has increased its share by 1.1%, and now it owns almost 8% of the Australian market.
