Back in June last year during the WWDC 2014 Apple introduced their own vision of the smart home, calling it HomeKit.

Then came iOS 8 with the support service, and were announced by the relevant accessories and appliances for the home. However, the process is so long, that on the shelves and does not add any compatible HomeKit device, but Apple does not lose optimism.

According to the resource Re / code, at Apple understand that running HomeKit slower than planned, and it has two main reasons. For example, in November we launched a program HomeKit MFi, and service specifications were sent to support chipmakers HomeKit in October. These two reasons motivated by a desire to bring the Apple smart home control system to perfection and avoid potential problems.

This month at CES was the announcement of a variety of products with support HomeKit, which will be available in the coming months, so Apple continues to be optimistic about the future of his new project.

We are pleased with the growing number of partners who are ready to present their products to support HomeKit market. Many announcements were held during CES. HomeKit includes a set of protocols that facilitate users to control compatible accessories using Siri or applications for iOS. The system is designed with security and uses an encrypted channel to connect to an iPhone or iPad with a particular device.
