Audio jack 3.5mm living out the last years of its existence. So say representatives of Intel. The standard port for most modern electronics are no longer cope with the demands of developers and discerning users. It prevents the gadget to improve water resistance, affects the thickness of the device and allows you to output the sound quality to a new level.
The Intel sure that sound future in mobile devices are connected to the USB Type-C. Sets with this method of connection will allow digital sound output and receive a variety of information from smart accessories. For example, the headphones can be equipped with heart rate monitor, thermometer sensors or physical activity.
Intel experts finalizing the new standard USB Type-C, taking into account the need to transmit a sound signal. The emergence of branded headset with a similar connection method can be expected as early as this year.
