At Apple Pay a great future, but it is in the future

Regarding the payment system, Apple Pay until there is a perception that much hope for its active integration in the modern trade is not worth it. It is said that if her future, it is a very remote future, which still need to wait.

Last Monday, Apple launched
01-Apple-Pay-Future

its service Pay, than turn the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is a virtual wallet. It just works - just need to take a picture of their credit cards at the camera iPhone, and all data on it will remain on a special chip inside the smartphone. In the future, in order to pay in the store, the person will be enough to bring your iOS-device to a special terminal with support for Apple Pay.

In principle, the service works well, with a few exceptions (remember the story of the Bank of America). However, the biggest problem with the new service is not in the mechanics or software, and in limited use.

So, journalist Steve Kovach Business Insider personally tested the Apple Pay and noted that technical difficulties with the payments had not arisen. Whereas very few shops in San Francisco were equipped with those same terminals for processing payments using NFC technology and iPhone. Yes, the big local brands like Whole Foods, Walgreens and Panera Bread still support Apple Pay. But most of the retail outlets that possibility has not. According to Apple provided data about 200 thousand. Stores installed at terminals for use with Apple Pay, but it's just a tiny part of the traders operating throughout the state.

During the week, people go to restaurants and bars, shopping in stores, and many other ways to participate in their daily business activities. But over the past week, since the launch of Apple Pay, happy owners of iPhone 6 could use a new financial services in very few places and shops.

From the beginning, Apple Pay service positioned as the possibility of complete replacement of the purse. Rather, it's real, but in the longer term than many expected. Terminals supporting Apple Pay should become as common as conventional terminals to read bank cards. Before that users will still have to remember to throw in a bag or pocket to put in a purse with all credit cards and cash.

Furthermore, it became known that some merchants intentionally block the propagation Apple Pay, despite the fact that their terminals are originally designed for processing NFC-payments. The other day it was reported that major US pharmacy chains Rite Aid and CVS fundamentally refuse to work with the service charges from Apple. Rumor has it that the company plans to launch its own mobile payment systems. Yes, and the Wall Street Journal recently published news that chain selling consumer electronics Best Buy refuses Apple Pay for the same reason.

Many doubt that Apple Pay would be more convenient for us the usual plastic cards. During the presentation of iPhone 6 viewers showed a video about how a woman suffers from a credit card. In an alternative scenario, it just pulls out his iPhone and a slight touch confirms the payment. This demonstration shows some of the picture too, manipulative, as if the user creates a special problem to apply its available ready-made solution. After spend on the card terminal is not so difficult.
Moreover, the convenience and the ability to make a payment via Apple Pay largely depends on the terminal. (That is, not all cases, the payment will be done as easy as Apple has demonstrated in his video presentation.) For example, to pay for purchases at drugstores Walgreens using Apple Pay user will have to enter the PIN-code and make a donation to kakoy- a charitable organization.

Probably in the future the situation will change for the better, so long as it is not necessary to send Apple Pay the dustbin of history. Over time, a large number of shops will terminals supporting NFC. Although now the service works with most major banks, there is still a small financial organizations whose cards do not support Apple Pay. You can count on the fact that the opportunity to work with such brands as Apple very soon attract many entrepreneurs, suppliers of goods and services.

Plus Apple Pay can be called and a higher degree of protection of confidential user information and money than in the case with ordinary bank cards. If the card is lost or stolen, an attacker can easily make use of the means to attach to it - even before the victim has time to call the bank and freeze the accounts. In the case of Apple Pay for payment authorization requires a fingerprint of the account holder. So if a thief stole a hand not (or at least a finger) user with his iPhone, means nothing to worry about.

However, at this time Apple Pay still remains a convenient payment chip for the few, mostly fans of the company from Cupertino. The situation will change only when the service from Apple, as well as other mobile payment systems will extend to the level of conventional terminals for credit, and not only in the US.
