Apple hinted at an October release of OS X Yosemite

iOS 8 will be available to all users from September 17. However, the most

impatient can already install the Golden Master version of the mobile operating system update. But the release of iOS 8 will be deprived of some of the features that are associated with OS X Yosemite. For example, sending a text message using the poppy and Continuity functions will be available in October. Likely to take place at the same time and release OS X 10.10.

With the help of Continuity and availability of iPhone far away from your Mac can easily send SMS and MMS messages directly from OS X, although previously confined to support iMessage. Coming out on Wednesday 8 iOS support this functionality, but it will be inaccessible to users until October. Apparently, Apple will open up full access to the Continuity in one of the intermediate updates iOS immediately after the release of OS X Yosemite.

This information is published on the website Apple, also hints at the release date of OS X Yosemite. Like last year, the new version of the operating system will debut in October. It is worth noting that sending SMS and MMS will be available not only with poppies through the iPhone, but also through the iPad, but without the Apple smartphone will not do in this case.

In a way similar to the transfer of the functions Continuity looks weird. After all, at the same incoming calls on the iPhone can be answered using an iPad or a Mac running beta OS X Yosemite. But nothing can be done, iPad owners will have to wait for October and the final version of OS X 10.10 with a number of new features and an updated interface to fully utilize the Continuity.
