Chinese resource Nikkei Asian Review published a new rumor about the iPhone 8. It is reported that it
will be equipped with a curved display, but with a smaller radius of curvature than the Galaxy S7
edge.
The bend will be smoother than the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. This is partly due to the difficulties in
the production of glass panels bent under the screen of the device. Although the curved display will offer a visible area of about 5.2 inches and make the iPhone more elegant, it will not have any additional features.
The main part of the display will occupy 5.2 inches, and the rest will have virtual function keys.
It is expected that the new generation of iPhone will be equipped with OLED-displays. According to rumors, the main supplier will be Samsung Display, which will provide Apple with 60-80 million panels.
