IPhone 8 may not have a curved display

Analysts have 

repeatedly stated that the next iPhone will get a curved display, like that of Samsung or LG. Nevertheless, there are new rumors according to which Apple will not depart from the concept of a flat screen.

This conclusion came IHS Markit analyst Wayne Lam, analyzing the chain of deliveries of the Kupertinovites.

We expect that Apple will keep the flat concept of OLED-display on a special model of the iPhone. It will be similar to the current 2.5D-glass design. - IHS Markit analyst Wayne Lam

Lam is predisposed to screens with a 2: 1 aspect ratio, which means that the display length is twice the width. Nevertheless, in iPhones the aspect ratio is 16: 9.

It seems that it will be so. Apple has never followed the market trends, remaining on its wave. And while all manufacturers are riveting curved displays, the Cupertin players can keep a flat screen.
