power and resolution displays Apple mobile devices grows, so many applications with advanced graphics take up much more space in memory gadgets. The company keeps abreast of, and therefore make life easier for developers, increasing the maximum size of the application in App Store.
Previously, the maximum size of the application that you download to iTunes Connect, could be 2 GB. Obviously, this requirement does not satisfy the trends in the industry, so Apple has increased the limit to 4 GB. It should be noted that the amount of data downloaded via the cellular network, has remained unchanged since 2013 - 100MB. Any application will require a larger volume of connecting via Wi-Fi or installation of iTunes.
Previously, some developers have repeatedly complained about the limit of 2 GB. For example, a couple of years ago, producer Final Fantasy VII declared that the game is far from the exit on mobile Apple devices because of the limit on the size of the application. There is no doubt that similar considerations were guided by other developers. Now they will have more freedom to implement their ideas.
