European users App Store is waiting for changes in prices for the application

While Apple temporarily stop

the sale of the Russian online store and the App Store applications cost remains unchanged, the company announced some changes to the European Union. Thus, from January 1 to change the scheme of levying value-added tax in the App Store.

Apple has already informed all registered developers that from January 1, App Store each country will have its own rate of value added tax. Previously, all segments of the app store within the European Union to use a single VAT rate. Thus, users in Europe may well be confronted with rising applications because now the value added tax in the App Store will be separate for each country, and sometimes higher than the previous average rate.

The changes, of course, affect only the EU and will not affect the cost of games and programs in the Russian segment of the app store. With some difficulty may face only developers, which is considered a profit after deduction of value added tax.

Apple has for a long time a very strained relationship with the authorities in the European Union. Last but not least this is due to the company's tax practice in Northern Ireland, where the European office officially placed Apple. This allows the company to pay less taxes, avoiding higher rates in the US. Not long ago, the UK authorities have introduced a separate tax of 25% on income earned in the country transnational corporations. Changing the policy of charging VAT on the part of Apple may well be a response.
