Apple declined to place a controversial film "Interview" in iTunes

Earlier this month, a major

scandal erupted when hackers broke into the server and Sony Pictures have access to internal content studio. Further chain of events led to the fact that Sony was forced to cancel the rental of the new film "Interview", the tape will not be in theaters and in iTunes, as well as other services.

The attack on the servers of Sony Pictures presumably not without the participation of North Korea. The purpose was not so much hackers stealing internal data, which were not intended for the general public as an obstacle top rolled film "Interview". The situation worsened further when against Sony and cinemas, who decide to show the film, received serious threats.

What is the reason for this attention by hackers, terrorists, and North Korea to the comedy film "Interview"? In fact, the answer lies on the surface. In the story, the characters, who performed the role of James Franco and Seth Rogen are sent to North Korea to record the interview, but in fact turn out to be recruited by the CIA and given the task to eliminate the local dictator Kim Yong-un. The parallels to hold a snap. The result also proved to be sad in the first place for the filmmakers.
Given the impossibility of showing the film on the big screen and even some danger of such events, Sony started to look for alternatives, among which were the services of digital distribution of content. In particular, Sony appealed to the White House to get support and have an impact on Apple, which refused to place the controversial film in iTunes. Nevertheless, the company from Cupertino remained standing on his own, and Apple officials declined to comment.

Thus, the fate of the film was unenviable. Apple's rights one of the largest players in the market has given Sony refused. Only a few cinemas officially wanted to show the film to the audience and is rumored to be considering a studio demonstration "Interview" for Christmas. However, the appearance of the movie in iTunes for the foreseeable future should not be expected.
