iPhone 7 c modes Qualcomm's 30% faster versions with Intel

A month after the start of sales of the updated flagship iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus both devices were subjected to scrutiny by the press, obzorschikov, technicians and fans spend all sorts of tests. And it is

the latter make it possible to find the difference between two seemingly completely identical models of smartphones, but with components from different manufacturers.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are two types of modems used. The A1778 and A1784 versions installed Intel XMM7360 (GSM only). Models A1660 and A1661 - Qualcomm MDM9564M (GSM / LTE).
The reason that Apple has made this division, is still unclear. GSM-only version smartphones not compatible with a number of cellular networks, but also significantly slower.
Armed with high quality equipment, the company Cellular Insights, specializing in electronics testing, conducted a series of studies to identify the fundamental difference in speed between the two models.
multiple frequency bands were tested: Band 12, Band 4 and Band 7. During experiment changed the network signal strength and measures the actual maximum throughput rate of modems installed in the iPhone.
In all three cases, the version of iPhone 7 Plus with a modem from Intel was in obvious loser. The difference in speed between the modems from Intel and Qualcomm reach 30% in favor of the latter.
As a comparison, Cellular Insights decided to compare the speed of the iPhone 7 Plus with rival smartphones on the market.
Alas, Apple brainchild inferior Galaxy S7 Edge models even when testing version with the modem from Qualcomm. Modem from Intel showed the lowest result among competing smartphones: Galaxy S7 Edge, Nexus 5X and LG G5.
