In response, Spotify has accused Apple of non-competitive methods of fighting in the market.
According to the manual, Apple canceled the release of a major upgrade to Spotify's App Store for the benefit of its own music service.
According to Recode, Apple rejected an updated version of the application, referring to the "rules of the business model." Spotify General Counsel Horacio Gutierrez wrote a letter of complaint to his colleague from the Apple Bruce Sewell:
We can not stand by, as Apple uses the App Store approval process as a weapon.
In addition, a copy of the letter was sent to members of Congress in Washington.
According to Gutierrez, Apple requested to use only its own billing system, if Spotify wants to use your app in their store. This is not the first claim leadership of music service to the American company.
Previously, Spotify attempted to launch an action through which the user can save money by subscribing to a service official website. At that Apple put the requirement to remove the third-party information on the methods of payment applications under the threat of removal from the App Store.
In response, Spotify has suspended share, while disabling the ability to pay for a subscription using the iOS-application.
