Race screen resolutions recently stepped up with renewed vigor ! Many manufacturers (Samsung, HTC, LG and Sony) are planning to release a smartphone with a super fine QHD- displays.
The advisability of such a permit on the small screen is still open , but the situation is different with tablets . In order to bring the picture quality to a new level , a Japanese company Japan Display (JDI) has introduced the world's first 10.1 " touch-screen display with a resolution of 3480x2160 pixels.
Of course, we've seen 4K resolution as such - on TVs many manufacturers, 15.6 " laptop from Toshiba and 20" " tablet " Panasonic ToughPad, but all of these devices are very difficult to call mobile.
Today , a first display very ordinary size - 10.1 " 4K . JDI revealed quite a few details about the new panel. Thus, it is made on LCD technology and has a pixel density of 438 units equal PPI. This is a record for any existing tablet range 7-10 inches. note that Galaxy TabPRO 8.4 parameter PPI is much lower - "only" 359 units. Interestingly, JDI did not use unusual location in pixels PenTile devices like Samsung, and limited conventional RGB- matrix.
Among other characteristics of the display is worth noting the relatively low power consumption compared to the same screen Galaxy TabPRO 8.4. Contrast stopped at a sufficiently high level of 1100:1 , viewing angle of 160 degrees, and the maximum brightness - 400 nits . Unfortunately , Japan Display has not announced when their new matrix will be freely available to all manufacturers of tablets, but its release will probably not before the autumn of this year.
